KATHMANDU: Nepal Mental Health Foundation (NMHF) has established the “Mental Health Year Journalism Award” that will be given away from next year on the occasion of World Mental Health Day on October 10. In a statement on Monday, the NMHF said the award carrying a purse of Rs. 25,000 will be given away to a journalist or a broadcaster who has made an “outstanding contribution” to the mental health sector in Nepal. “Given the interrelation of mental health to different issues, the award can be given to social, educational, human rights or economic reporter; journalist, columnist, writer, film maker, artist or anyone associated with mass media,” the statement said.
